Projects take their time to reach completion. If they reach any completion at all. One of the projects that I’ve been working on for the past year or so has been on and off that back-burner quite a few times already, as other work has pushed itself forward. And, as my hero, the great Tove Jansson, said – I’m paraphrasing here, but you’ll get the gist – if you share work too early, you can end up killing it before it’s ever really come to life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, clearly, because what Tove says is the law, I’m not going to go into too many details about this project, in case I do it harm by exposing it to the light too early. I’ll let it stay in semi-darkness, under the surface and under where the light can reach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But a wee bit of light won’t hurt it too much, right? The setting is an underpass, so here’s a tiny bit of light – right at the end of the tunnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is possible to make it through till morning<\/strong>
Darkness unloaded
A nightful of wishes
Fell on the evening
Like that old blanket
We could never throw away
And daylight was quiet
Talking little in its sleep,
A tiny, mumbled street lamp
A passing headlight snore
It was the right time
To gather up the shadows

So we walked, pausing into the

And passed through, all the way
To morning
